MECHANICAL TESTING

DON’T JUST SAY IT’S STRONG: LET US PROVE IT

CCT offers a comprehensive range of mechanical testing services to evaluate the properties of materials under different conditions, such as tension, compression, and temperature. Our testing lab in Zhejiang, China is fully equipped to deliver accurate and fast results with certified reports.

At CCT, we conduct various mechanical tests on metals and alloys, including strength, hardness, ductility, impact resistance, fracture toughness, elongation, and stress. These tests provide critical data that helps our customers select the right materials, verify material quality from new suppliers, or evaluate the effectiveness of heat treatment processes.

TRUST OUR SERVICE & QUALIFICATIONS

CCT offers a comprehensive solution to your testing requirements with its blend of technical proficiency, competitive pricing, and quick turnaround time. Our standard turnaround time is typically three or more business days, but we also provide expedited services for rush orders.

Our qualifications will also meet your requirements, including:

· NADCAP and  ISO/IEC 17025 accreditations

· Testing completed according to ASTM, EN, ISO, MIL, NASM methods and specifications

· PED approval by Lloyd’s Register

· Mechanical and materials engineers to help with unique needs and questions

· Specimen preparation for all mechanical tests

CCT has numerous furnaces to heat treat specimens prior to testing, so customers can compare processes or confirm that material upgrade meets specification or other requirements. Find out more about capability heat treating and testing.

Mechanical Test Capabilities & Ranges

Tensile Testing of specimens and fasteners in all sizes is performed on machines with load capacities from 8 ozs. to 600,000 lbs. A 10,000 lb. capacity tensile machine provides  testing.

Elevated Temperature Tensile Testing uses a furnace carousel to process up to three specimens at once. The test samples can be heated to 1800°F.

Stress Rupture and Creep Testing comply with ASTM standards and can be performed at temperatures up to 2000°F.

Fracture Toughness and Fatigue Testing equipment can generate up to 100,000 lbf. and controls the test temperature between -150°F and +2000°F.

Rockwell, Brinell and Superficial Hardness Testing are available for metals.

Impact Testing of Metal is performed at temperatures from -452°F to +500°F, and with impact energy up to 320 ft. lbs. Charpy V-notch, weld charpy and drop-weight testing are available.

Welder & Procedure Qualification is offered per  ASME & AWS codes, ASTM & EN standards and the Pressure Equipment Directive.

Test Specimens for Mechanical Testing

At CCT, we offer a comprehensive Machine Shop service that operates two work shifts to cater to all your mechanical testing needs. Our team of experts can prepare precision specimens for various types of mechanical testing, including those for metals. We have the capability to produce test specimens in-house for faster turnaround times and greater convenience. All specimens are machined according to ASTM standards A370, E8, E23, and customer-specific requirements, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and consistency.
