Salt Spray Test
CCT's Salt Spray Test, also known as the ASTM B117 Salt Fog Test, is executed with strict adherence to standardized procedures. The test evaluates the resistance of a material to corrosion by subjecting it to a controlled corrosive environment. The results provide valuable information about the relative corrosion resistance of metal and coated metal specimens. CCT conducts the test in a salt spray chamber equipped with precise temperature control to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Temperature and Humidity Testing
CCT offers a reliable environmental testing service with its advanced chamber that can simulate various environmental conditions to test the durability and reliability of products, especially electronic items. The chamber is capable of exposing the products to extreme temperatures and humidity levels, which are controlled within ISO and ASTM testing standards. The temperature range is -65°C to +100°C, while the humidity range is 25% to 98% relative humidity, making it ideal for simulating a damp environment.
Passivation Test
Passivation Testing is a method of assessing the surface of corrosion-resistant steel parts by examining surface passivity. The objective of the passivation process is to eliminate surface contaminants, such as iron particles and exposed sulfides, that may lead to rust, allowing the natural corrosion resistance of stainless steel to be maximized. When examined, materials that have been correctly passivated will exhibit little to no rust. Additionally, the passivation test can be helpful in determining whether treatment or protective coatings are necessary for fabricated steel parts.
